Spring 2010 is just around the corner and
with its arrival we could be experiencing
the same flood problems we had last
year. As of this time we have put on hold a
few activities we had scheduled.
Membership dinner and the Auxiliary
craft and bake sale are two events we will
have to look at rescheduling. All other
activities we will try to keep on their
regular days and times but right now
things are in the hands of Mother Nature
again. It is a strong possibility that the
National Guard will be using our facilities
to feed their troops that are in the area to
help fight the flood. If thats the case we could be
looking for volunteers to help
with that task. Meetings are being scheduled to update
us as to what is expected from the Post, until these
meetings are held we will not know what our
responsibilities will be. Once we do know we will get
the word out what kind of help is needed. This is a huge
undertaking for staff and management so please be
patient with us with any
unforseen inconveniences
